Something Different

We stumbled across this awesome site the other day and thought we would give it a go. It's called geocache http://www.geocaching.com/guide/default.aspx and it is soooo much fun. Basically, there are boxes/containers hidden all over the place and you go on the website and it will give you co ordinates to find cache's closest to you. We then sync it with the iphone and off we go to find the box. The iphone tells us how close we are when we get to the site.

Looking looking :)
We went and found one down near the river where we live and we trekked through the bush and found an old ammo case half buried

Fun!!

This is what was inside

You can take something out, but you need to leave something of equal value or more, so we swapped a toy robot for a smiley face fridge magnet.

Beautiful day.

This is what I want to do, they were going so fast, it just looked so fun.

So today we went a found another one straight after school

Not there though :)

Found it!!

This was what was inside this box, we added a cpr face mask keyring. We took a small ninja toy. So we are going to try and find another tomorrow. This one is classed as 'micro' in size of container so it will be a bit harder to find, fun though.

And there were photo's of me on the walk and since I don't see the back of myself very often I got to see the wonderful figure that I have :) I am going to skip every morning and also do sit ups and push ups from body rock. I am going to try and control my eating, don't ask me how :), and then maybe I will feel better about myself.

Off to buy batting tomorrow so I can start on Night Sky 2. Quite excited since I got my thread from the U.S and can't wait to see if it is any good. The colours are a little different to what I thought they would be, just because the net can't show true colours. Only bummer about buying off the net. Still love them though.

Hand sewing

Spent most of my time today hand sewing the invisible/faced binding on these two wall hangings today.  I am impressed with anyone that takes so much time to hand sew. My fingers are sore (need to get a thimble) and if I could have used the sewing machine I could have done it in 5 minutes flat. I like the no binding look though, so it is worth it.
Have a look

I also have finished the applique on Night Sky 2. I need some batting and then I can sew sew sew. I have ordered some gorgeous glitter/metallic thread and the colour is midnight and I think that it will match perfectly with the night sky. I will get sick of trying to shove a 160cm long quilt into a 9cm opening on my machine :) But oh well.

Getting tired of doing the Body Rock exercises, but when I stop for a day or two I really miss it and so start again. I get very sore from doing such intense workouts. I just need to stop eating junk and then I will actually see results :) story of a dieters life :)
