Look!!!

I even like this:) It needs an iron, so it isn't wavy,  and a better photographer :) but I was excited to see it finished. It takes sooo long for me to bind things. I find binding annoying and laborious. But in the end it looks great. Just thought I would share.

Look at This

Here's a better shot of the black thing

And here's a shot of something weird behind my ear

We looked it up on the net and they are swollen lymph glands. Weird!! They hurt when I touch them and most of the time my glasses rest on it and that hurts a bit. I have found about 6 around my head and a couple down my neck. As long as they don't spread to my face I will be fine :)

Remember how we did our own geocache? Down a hole with a rock over it? Well someone came along that wasn't interested in geocaching and took it. A couple of people left messages saying that they thought it was gone so we went for a drive and it was :( bummer. So we will have to do another one.

Finished and new things started

Well I finally did it! I finished, well I have to bind it and cut off the thousands of threads on the back of the quilt, but hey who's worried about that sort of stuff :) I am really happy with it.

Here is a bad shot :) of the blue thread

Here's something I am working on
Drew this and then painted it, can't stand his head.....

And this

This one is black, the flash just made it look grey. I have drawn a circle of swirls around the outside and on the inside will be lots of flowers and leaves. So that's what all the fabric is, flowers, they are yellow and gorgeous reds. I will take a photo in the day time so you can see the true colours. I will then free motion all the vines and stems etc in later.

I am hoping that they turn out. I am not sure about the butterfly, but I will free motion over it and then see what I think.

Update

I finished off all the buildings. They look great and I am really happy with them. I have started on the sky and just used my new superior threads thread :) a gorgeous purple. It worked so well. Have a look

I am now doing the darker purple bits. Then there are dark blues, aquamarine and black. I am really enjoying it.
We went up to Mt Mee for a picnic and found a geo cache

It was very cool. Thanks to G and his never give up attitude since the co ordinates were off so he just went looking for big stumps:).

Have a Look

It's been a while, got a bit sick and had to take some time off. But now everything is back to normal. We have been doing lots of fun geocaching and found a few. We tried to find 15 in one day, our brains must have gone on us, and we only got through 4 :) oh well it was still fun.

Then we went looking around the suburb we are going to buy our house in and found a perfect park to put our own geocache in. We made a tin up and put in a note pad for people to sign and a travel bug. We then hid it here

You are not allowed to dig holes or damage the environment around you. So we were so excited to find a hole perfect to hide our container. We think it was a tree stump taken out.
We covered it over with the rock and some grass cuttings.

Our Son became a bigger boy lately when he helped his Dad mow, quite cute isn't it :)

He didn't stop talking the whole time :) even over the noise of the mower :).

I have been doing some sewing. It seems to be going forever but today I have just finished one half of the buildings!! Finally.
Have a look

So one day I will be finished this thing. Until then, you know where I will be.
