Tea Towel Still??

 Well have a look.... here is the map, all done and ready for batting and free motioning

Here is the something I made out of fabric thingy :) will bind it tomorrow and see if it is worth anything :).
The kids had cross country today and it was so exciting to see them running their hearts out. So adorable. They did such a good job too. It is one of my favourite things to do at school with the kids and I love cheering them on and watching the joy on their faces when they finish the race and they are so proud of themselves. Gorgeous.

Holidays are soon, time to sleep in at least but hopefully the kids will get along and enjoy each other, mmmmm what a nice dream that was :)

Update on Shoes :)

Of course you want to know how those gorgeous shoes have been that I bought :). Well, the beautiful soft pink/peach high heels were absolutely divine to wear to church today. The first time ever that it didn't hurt to wear a pair of high heels AND I looked good too!! :)
Thought that you might be wondering :)
And it really did make me happier, I really recommend a great pair of shoes as an anti depressant, and of course chocolate daily.

Fun

I thought this week that I have a great life. My kids are healthy and listen to me just enough so that they stay alive :), I am healthy and my husband has a great job. On top of all this, once I have finished my hetic household schedule :) I have time to myself. I love being a stay at home mum and sooo enjoy every moment of it. So with the time that I have had this week, this is what I have done....

This was something I just wanted to make out of fabric, it's great just playing with fabric

This one is another swirl one, since I love swirls why not do more :) and this is with the pearlescent paint added to the colours and it is only about 20cm wide and about 1 1/2 metres long, so it is a bit different with the size.

 This is for my sister in-law, who wants something for her iphone to absorb the vibration at night so it doesn't wake her up :) it is about 15cm/15cm.

 This is my Australia quilt, nearly finished... and I don't think it looks so much like a tourist tea towel now :) those are whales in the water :)

Went to a craft show on Thursday with a couple of friends and it was so much fun to go with them. The show was really small and we were done in about two hours, but I got a really fun watch there :) but no craft stuff.
Today I bought the most gorgeous shoes, and wow was it fun :) gorgeous shoes make me feel gorgeous I have discovered :) I will have to tell Hubby that this will occur every week to keep me feeling gorgeous hehehehe

New addition :)

And it is not a baby :) just a baby quilt section to my Etsy store :) G would love me to have another child!!! A husband that is clucky hmmmm not much use once the baby starts screaming and needs a nappy change. :)

New Glasses

Middle daughter has new glasses, these are special glasses and ones we are hoping that will help her read better and be able to catch up with work at school. She has visual dyslexia and she responded to the yellow colour when tested. Every person that has visual dyslexia responds to a different colour. When we first got the glasses I thought that the colour wouldn't be as strong as they are. I really hope that other kids don't tease her. When she did her homework this afternoon, there was more fluency to her reading. The optometrist said that it would take a couple of weeks for her to catch up and get used to them. I am really hoping they work.

Thank you  for your comments on the tourist tea towel map, they were so helpful. I am nearly finished with it and have already sold it :) It is going to be a gift to Americans, so it is perfect for that :).

Darn!!

I pulled out the map quilt last night to show G and he said it looked like one of those tourist tea towels!!! Darn. Now that's all I see.... do you agree?

It is so hard to get things to turn out the way you see them in your head :)

This is the one that Sam painted and I fre motioned over it. I am about to upload it to Etsy, here's hoping for a sale. This was fun and very quick. I am definitely doing more this size.

Fantastic!!

I just finished watching another Miss Fisher Murder Mysteries. Loved it. I have read all the Phyrne Fisher books and think they are so fun. I want to be her, who wouldn't :) rich, skinny gorgeous, hair perfect, adopted children that are already grown up and all the work done for you :) and a fun life of running around nosing into other peoples business. So fun. :) Alas, fiction is .. fiction. But it is great fun to watch it.

I have been working on this.......

I know it is dark and you can barely tell, but the flash just white washes it all. It is my map quilt, Australia with landmarks added. Only just started but am happy with it so far. Hopefully it won't look like a kid got to my fabric and scribbled all over it :)

Can't even sleep in tomorrow morning, bummer, off to take d1 to her violin lessons, who would have thought that I would spend more time in the car than anywhere else when I had kids. 


To help with all this driving, this is our new mode of transport,

Fun, I have yet to have a go, I need to grow another couple of cm's so I can touch the floor and then get some muscle so I can actually move the handle bars :). But I can sit on the back and tell him where to go, I think that is a better option anyway :).
Off to a family dance tomorrow night, so my weekend if full of fun :)
