America The Beautiful :)

I know school holidays have started when I mop the floor and it is dirty that night. Why do I bother?? :) Anyway, to keep me sane through the holidays I have been working on the U.S quilt. But saying that I think that, this actually might drive me nuts :) and I am dieting so no chocolate to help me through. ughhh

This is taking quite along time. I would love to be able to put items on Etsy  every couple of weeks. So I won't be making one this big for a while. I am half way through painting and still need to do my thread magic :) 

Watched This Means War last night, gave me a few laughs and a great perv at the two gorgeous men. So a winner for me :) Watched anything good lately?

Can you See??

Well what do you know, there is a benefit to getting out of bed when it is still dark :) Sam and I spotted this on our walk....

Venus to the right and I am not sure about the one above. Very very cool. It was amazing to see it as it was bigger than it looks in the picture. Then we went round the corner and the sun had started to rise a little and there was the most gorgeous pale yellow/orange hue just below this site. Spectacular.

Off to bed, so tired.

Must Be Mad!!!

I have decided to do another map, this time of the U.S.A. I must have been mad to even think of this idea!! I have to do the map quite a big size so that each state is visable, this is how big it is.

You can just see it. It is pencil drawing at this stage. You can see the blue paint which is the rivers. That is my first step. This one is going to cost a fortune for someone to buy :) sweat and tears into this thing :) Don't you love the helpers holding the fabric :) that cute little head poking over :)

Nearly school holidays again!! That comes around so fast. School reports will be in, we were chatting to the kids about what we expect etc and the kids started chucking out ideas, what happens if we get all E's?? :) love to test us :) they didn't wait for an answer hehehe.

Just finished watching Game of Thrones. Wow!! talk about full on! Sometimes a bit much but it is so enthralling that you just inhale it. Fantastic. Now to find something else to watch :)

Well off to paint rivers and lakes.
